Boards cut to the ratio of the film frame and painted, perforated, or left raw are held, propped, and wedged in the Los Angeles landscape. This scrappy film is inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s triptych, “Three Landscapes” and by Djibril Diop Mambéty’s “Le Franc.” Lichtenstein’s triptych divides the landscape in two: the real Pacific Ocean sits beneath a ben day dot sky.
